Tau alphabet

(q may be spelled with k; z may be spelled with s)

Consonants

b, c ("s" or "k"), ch, d, f, g, h, j (rare), kl, m, n, p, q, r, s, sh, t, th (rare) u, v, y

Vowels

a, aa, e, i, o, u (may be a "w" sound before vowels), y (rare, same sound as "i")

' is used to separate words and morphemes.

The Tau language might resemble a mixture of Japanese and some Polynesian languages.
